This beautiful Old Rectory, built in 1605 has been recently renovated and decorated to an exceptionally high standard. Overlooking a magnificent village church and the garden, the house sits in the centre of its plot and features dry stone walls all around the boundary.
This is the perfect rural retreat to relax by the heated pool with friends and family; use the well-equipped kitchen and enjoy the large comfortable sitting room, snug, kids playroom and large, attractive and secure gardens.

Driving through the grounds of the Old Rectory gives you a sense of grandeur. The house stands in the middle of the grounds overlooking the magnificent village church on one side. The gardens are secluded with the patio, pool area and play area all on the south side of the house, having full sun all day. The front of the house has the large parking area and a lovely flat lawn with the trampoline, football goals and a great space for children to play ball games. There is parking for 20 plus cars.

On entering the house, straight away you feel the luxury that awaits with a large welcoming hallway and various rooms leading off from this.
Sink your feet into the carpet as you go through to the very elegant sitting room, which looks out onto one of the patio areas with an amazing water fountain (switched off in the winter months) a wood burner and 72 inch TV, allowing for great evening entertainment. The next room is the snug which also has a log burner, TV and views over the garden. Also on the ground floor is a welcome treat for children – a lovely play room with a TV. Every room has a TV where you can log in your own Netflix or Amazon accounts.

The Tom Howley kitchen is elegant, modern and fully equipped with everything you might need for your stay. A separate utility room with a cloakroom, washing machine and tumble dryer, microwave and wine fridge. There are doors from the kitchen out onto one of the patio areas and also another cloakroom leading off from the kitchen.

Heading outside you will find a pretty terrace with garden furniture, just perfect for al fresco dining or a spot of stargazing over the church. The gardens and views are peaceful with plenty to watch and hear the lovely water fountain from a built-up stone area with extra seating; the perfect spot to lose yourself in a book or enjoy a nice glass of wine on those warmer summer nights.

There are two separate patio areas for al fresco dining, catching the sun at different times during the day and a gas BBQ to enjoy any time of the year. There are two wonderful large stone waterfalls on the patios and a rectangle raised fishpond which mesmerises the kids for hours to the right of the front door.

For those little ones there is a wonderful fenced area for children to play in safely with artificial grass, there are a few steps up to it, so children will still need to be supervised.

There are six large bedrooms, on three floors, one has a mezzanine level above it and another has an office just beyond it. The five bathrooms are spacious and well appointed. Bed 1 (Master) has a super king and an ensuite, Bed 2 and 3 share a Jack Jill bathroom (Bed 3 is the bedroom with the mezzanine level above the bedroom area) Bed 4 has an ensuite, Bed 5 has an ensuite and Bed 6 also has an ensuite and an office/desk space just beyond the bedroom. Fully carpeted, so we do ask that you keep your shoes downstairs.

The swimming pool has recently been renovated and is heated to a lovely 27 degrees from mid April to late October. It has a lovely set of roman steps into it at one end and is a level depth of around 5.7 ft throughout the length of the pool. It also features an electric cover. Due to the pools position it’s completely secluded and has the sun on it all day until sunset. There are 8 sun loungers around both sides of the pool, a day bed and a large number of outdoor seating around the pool as well. The pool is also lit at night time should you wish to swim after dark.
